One of a kind mermaid sculpture. Sold.
The mother is named Arya and the baby is Nymeria. I named them after a favorite character from The Game of Thrones and her pet wolf. She is more of a siren than a mermaid and I gave her a more primitive look with a fish-like face with random scales on parts of her body.
She is hardwired with a brass armature. I do not fill my sculptures with aluminum foil, ever. Aluminum expands when heated so that can damage the clay.
They were both sculpted with polymer clay. Arya was hand painted and blushed using heat set oil paints and wigged with Tibetan lamb wool. Nymeria is encased in epoxy resin. They come with an oyster shell I collected, cleaned and decorated.

From head to tip of the tail she stretches out to 10" long. She is hand signed with my signature and a number at the back of her head.
